Bringing DivaDance and vacation vibes together can only mean one thing: SLAYCATION. And this year’s annual DivaDance convention didn’t disappoint – in fact, it keeps getting better every.single.year. Round two of Las Vegas had all eyes on us in the center of the ring just like a circus at the Palms Casino Resort Sept. 18–22, 2024. More than 200 franchise owners, staff, and members came together from across the country (and Ciudad De México — love you, Carolina!) for an epic circus-themed weekend full of fun, friends, and dance. The community. The outfits. The moves. We can’t stop thinking about it (take us back to the Big Top!). While the entire weekend was nothing short of amazing, here are a few of our favorite moments.
Franchise Owners Community Show-Off

Okay, all the Slaycation show-off performances were phenomenal, but one seriously stands out: Seeing nearly 20 franchise owners from across the country come together for one show-stopping performance blew our minds. Simple black T-shirts had all eyes on Laurita’s choreo set to a mix of “Bow Down” from Beyoncé’s Homecoming Live (because they QUEENS, y’all) and “Kream” by Iggy Azala ft. Tyga. When it was all said and done danced, the audience exploded. Chills.
Premiere of New DivaDance Classes

We were so excited to showcase two of our new DivaDance class formats during this year’s Slaycation! Led by Chantel Serita of Sandy Springs, our Rx class featured community time, journaling, meditation, and light choreography. And our Nonstop class led by Trey Maxwell from Austin included high cardio with nonstop (you guessed it!) dancing. Okay, and a little serenading from the man himself.
Lunch Keynote on Inclusion

We love a good keynote and all things inclusion, and TEDx speaker and DivaDance Arlington Metroplex franchise owner Nicki Joiner delivered! Inclusion constitutes a series of choices that prioritizes the wants and needs of others — when folks feel included, they are more likely to stick around longer and contribute more. Nicki and her husband, Adam, discussed ways in which we can be more inclusive to our DivaDance communities, and we were so here for it.
Lara Bridger’s Amazing CoCo Award

Our first annual CoCo Awards (where Confidence and Community meet!) was a huge success, and one memorable award sticks out in our minds: Lara Bridger of Austin, Texas, has become the first-ever member to make it to our 1,000 Class Club! That’s 1,000 DivaDance classes. We just love Lara and are so proud of her for a million reasons!
Franchise Owners Brunch

During our annual BossBabe Brunch, we gave an exciting “State of the Brand” presentation, filled with lots of exciting partnerships, business innovations, strategic initiatives, and brand vision going into 2025. We also gave out owner awards — most notably probably the LOVE award (Living Our Values Everywhere), received by Chantel Serita from Sandy Springs!
Fans Breakout Class

We were pumped to have such a wide variety of breakout dance classes this year — poms, k-pop, Latin, candlelight lyrical, and Broadway — but one session was our fave, hands down: FANS. Yes, we’re talking those foldable handheld fans. NaKia Whitaker from Hill Country, Austin, and Katy choreographed the coolest fans routine to Beyoncé’s “Alien Superstar,” and EVERYONE LOVED IT! And not just because we were working up a sweat.
Show-Off After Party

If you didn’t stay for the Community Show-Off After Party, y’all missed OUT! Full of laughs, group hugs, and two hours of nonstop freestyle dancing, the afterparty at Kaos Nightclub at The Palms was lit. Don’t even get us started on that dance-off!
NOLA, Here We Come!

We’re swapping the Big Top for the Big Easy! After two years in Sin City, DivaDance Slaycation is ready to take over the French Quarter in 2025. The moment HQ’s Sarah Henn shared the big news, the crowd erupted. Are you ready for us, New Orleans? Or better yet, are you registered?
